April was another busy month!
After the success of last year’s Italian Cars and Coffee events at the Pike and Eel at Needingworth, Tony and the team continued the trend! Over 50 cars attended on the Saturday 12th April. Obviously the majority were Alfas but we also had a good showing from the Abarth East Coast club, a Dino, Innocenti, Maserati, Fiats.. a great event in a wonderful position on the river. All helped by some spring sunshine. We will return in September I am sure.
At the end of April we had our Monthly Meet at The Bunbury Arms, a short notice change of venue as the original pub had stopped doing food! 11 of us had a jolly evening putting the world to rights, though we were somewhat outnumbered by 30 plus members of the Mini club. Then we scattered into the four winds to make our ways home through the myriad of road closures!

Sunday 11th May 10am at Diss Suffolk Drive ending 12 noon with Fish and Chips with the Essex Section, Start point of drive is the small car park on the A1066 in Diss its address is Park Rd, Diss IP22 4NJ end point is at Flora Tea Rooms, Beach Road, Dunwich, Saxmundham, Suffolk, IP17 3EN Fish and Chips and a stomp down the beach, round the Museum about Dunwich’s history or just wander round the village and ruins. Let me know if you’re doing the drive rather than going straight to Dunwich, then I can have enough road books printed!
Thursday 22nd May May, 7pm Monthly Pub Meet, The Walnut Tree, The Street Worlington, Bury Saint Edmunds IP28 8RU Our monthly meet at another old favourite, a good car park and very good food, what’s not to like!
Saturday 31st May 9am, Cars and Coffee at Kersey Mill, Kersey Mill, Kersey, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP7 6DP, Vintage and Modern Classic. We have a dedicated parking area in the grounds of the stunning mill in a beautiful village, the collection of cars they get is mouthwatering too!
Sunday 3rd August, 9am till 4pm Helmingham Hall Festival of Classic and Sports Cars, Helmingham Hall, Helmingham Estate, Stowmarket IP14 6EF, I have asked for and got a 38 car stand! Now is the time to let me know if you want a car on the stand, if you haven’t already act now as we are half full!!
