March 2018 Meeting
For our March meeting, we met at a new venue, the Fox & Hounds near Wimborne. The highlight of the evening was the presention to our former Secretary, Nigel Varney, of a commerative gift as a thank you for all the time and energy he has put into running the Wessex section over the past 13 years. The gift was a high quality 1/18 scale model of a 1965 Giulia Sprint GTA which was funded by section members and presented by the current secretary, David Kell. In addition, Nigel’s partner Denise, was presented with a bouquet of flowers in recognition of her good humoured (if long suffering !) support of Nigel during his time as secretary.
During the evening, we also had a picture quiz organised by Peter Smart and Ian Brookfield which was won by Mark Siney. Congratulations to Mark and many thanks to Peter and Ian for organising the quiz
