AROC Derbyshire Section Peak Alfa Run 2025

Derbyshire section are staging our annual Peak Alfa Run on 18th May 2025. We will be gathering at Denby Pottery Village car park, Derby Rd, Ripley DE5 8NX, from 09:30. Breakfast cobs and hot drinks are available from the Denby Farm Shop Cafe & Takeaway or try the full breakfast menu to eat in at the Bourne’s Coffee Shop & Bistro. Farm Shop and cafe opens at 10:00, the Bistro opens at 09:30.
A navigational run is available using tulip symbols, a navigator is recommended, or you can drive straight to the finish. The run will start from around 11:00 and will take you through some lovely Peak District scenery before finishing at Peak Rail, Rowsley South Station off the A6 at Harrison Way, Darley Dale, DE4 2LF. Driving time should be around 2 hours. Display parking will be reserved for us in the Rowsley South Station car park. Lunch and snacks from the onsite cafe are available, please see the Peak Rail Tea Room Menu. Children’s meals are also available. The 18th of May is a steam day (subject to loco availability) and trains run to Matlock and return to Rowsley South Station. More details are available on the Peak Rail website under ‘Plan Your Visit’. The line follows the River Derwent along the valley floor and is a great way to spend an afternoon. The last train arrives back at Rowsley South at 16:30. The cafe also closes at 16:30.
Tickets available will be limited and will be on a first come first served basis and members from any section are welcome. Please use the link below to purchase your ticket and leave information about the car you will be bringing.
This is a member only event and you may be required to show a valid membership card on arrival. To allow us to make a suitable donation to Peak Rail which is run by volunteers, there is a small charge of £5 per car. Please come and join us for what we hope will be a fantastic day out.
